FORESHADOWING OR A MISTAKE? LUFFY FINAL BOUNTY REVEALED!?

Monkey D. Luffy is a Captain of the Mugiwara Pirates and a member of the Worst Generation. Out of the 11 Supernovas.  Luffy has grown to be an extraordinary pirate, and he continues to grow at a frightening rate. A bounty is in itself an agreement to the public at large. The government is issuing a call to the people to help in the capture and concluding execution of someone considered outside the law. It is them asking for help in exchange for Money as a reward. The point of a bounty is to lure bounty hunters to the hope of money. The higher the bounty, the more likely a well-known bounty hunter will respond to the call. When a prize is raised, it is the acceptance of the government that they are not able to deal quietly with the problem at hand, and are asking for help from bounty hunters. REVERIE ARC, PERFECT TIME TO REVEAL LUFFY BLOOD RELATIVES?!


Hey guys. Luffy and his family is full of mysteries. The two well known characters from biological family are Monkey D. Dragon(Luffy’s Father) and Monkey D. Garp(Luffy’s Grandfather). Our knowledge about Dragon’s past and his powers is very limited.

The biggest mystery about Luffy’s family is the whereabouts of his mother.


However Oda has helped us out with his interview. He was asked about Luffy’s mother and this is what he had to say—
John Irons: “What is Luffy’s mother like?Was she beautiful? What happened to her? Did she die when Luffy was a baby?”
Oda: “I think she’s alive. I’m still thinking hard about this. [Laughs] But if she does appear in the story, then she’ll be a very tough-looking woman. And strict. There’s no way that she’s a beautiful mother. She’s got this typical middle-aged woman’s permed hair. Speaking about families, I did a backstory for Nico Robin and her family.



That was actually the first time for me to draw a mother in a character’s memory. Up until that point, I’d never drawn a blood relation. In Chopper’s case, he’s called a son even though he’s not blood-related. So I’ve put in a message there saying that you can still call someone who’s not related by blood your family.” (American Shonen Jump, December 2009)



As you can see that Oda has plans for introducing Luffy’s mother sometime later in the series. We don’t know how much longer we have to wait but it might not be long till we finally see Luffy’s mother. With the Reverie coming up, it might be a good idea to show both Dragon and Luffy’s mother together. As we know that the Revolutionary Army is planning something big and Dragon has ordered all the big names to gather at one place. It means that they’re possibly going for the final push.


Reverie arc is the arc that will not include any strawhats pirates, maybe the perfect time to reveal some of dragon abilities and past.
