Hey everyone! One Piece chapter 891 is just around the corner, and the spoilers are out already. You might’ve already checked them out, and it’s all Luffy hype this week. Before I dive into Luffy’s new power, I want to let you all know that this post contains heavy spoilers from the next chapter. Please continue only if you don’t mind being spoiled.
With that out of the way, let’s continue. One Piece chapter 891 is going to be huge for Luffy vs Katakuri. We all saw Luffy heading back into the mirror world some chapters ago, and then challenging Katakuri to a fight once again. Luffy already lost to him so many times, but he just won’t give up. Yet again, in chapter 891, he is beaten down by Katakuri time and again.
However, like always, he gets up again and tries to take him one again. Then suddenly, Luffy becomes calm, and he is able to hit Katakuri. I know some of you are like, hold on a second, how can Luffy hit Katakuri? He can see the future right? It’s not possible to hit him. Well it is possible, and there are just two ways to go about it.
The first one is to make him lose his concentration, which is very hard since he is a veteren who has never lost a single fight in all his life. Also, Luffy himself said that doesn’t want to try out this method because he wants to beat him fair and square. The other way is to see the future as well, and then see the same future that Katakuri is seeing which will let you know where to attack.
This is exactly what Luffy has done. It was a big speculation for the past couple of weeks, but now it is official. Luffy can see the future with Observation Haki. He has just attained the same level as Charlotte Katakuri himself. If you ask my opinion on it, I would say that I’m not too pleased about it. Katakuri is someone who has trained his entire life to gain this power. It is so rare that we didn’t even see anyone else use it. Luffy somehow managed to do it in a matter of hours.
Lately, it seems like Oda is using Rayleigh flashbacks too much, and whenever Luffy is losing, he gives us a Rayleigh flashback and then Luffy gets stronger. This has happened so many times now. I agree that Luffy should’ve gotten this power eventually anyway. But, this is too soon for me. I think it would’ve been better if he had awakened his Devil Fruit. I think Luffy is a lot closer to doing that, than he is to see the future with Observation Haki. But, it is what it is.
