Monkey D. Luffy is a Captain of the Mugiwara Pirates and a member of the Worst Generation. Out of the 11 Supernovas.  Luffy has grown to be an extraordinary pirate, and he continues to grow at a frightening rate. A bounty is in itself an agreement to the public at large. The government is issuing a call to the people to help in the capture and concluding execution of someone considered outside the law. It is them asking for help in exchange for Money as a reward. The point of a bounty is to lure bounty hunters to the hope of money. The higher the bounty, the more likely a well-known bounty hunter will respond to the call. When a prize is raised, it is the acceptance of the government that they are not able to deal quietly with the problem at hand, and are asking for help from bounty hunters. Capone Bege is named after the real life 1920’s gangster, Alphonse “Al” Capone. His inspiration is both from Al Capone as well as the English privateer, William le Sauvage. He also shares his birthday with Al Capone, with them both being born on January 17.

Bege being stated to cut off animals’ heads may be a reference to The Godfather, in which Tom Hagen, the consigliere of the Corleone family coerced a target into doing what the eponymous Godfather wanted by having the head of the target’s prized stallion decapitated.


Bege’s rank as “Rook” as part of the Big Mom Pirates is a reference to the Chess piece “Rook”, which is also referred to as “Castle”, matching his Devil Fruit abilities.



Bege was the shortest Super Rookie with a height of 166 cm (5’5″) prior to the timeskip. In chapter 812, he is shown to now be slightly taller than Sanji, who stands 180 cm (5’11”) tall.

As a child, he had curlier hair and a shorter and rounder head. He wore a shirt and tie. He was also depicted as playing with guns, knives, and a fortress made of blocks, referencing his Devil Fruit abilities.

He is the only member of the Worst Generation known to be married and be a parent.



Bege’s favorite foods are meatballs and tomatoes.

His least favorite food is tomato juice.

His hobbies are looking at paintings and playing board games.

In the 6th popularity poll, Bage ranked 51st.
