Hey everyone! In this post, I want to talk about One Piece Chapter 892. The translations for the chapter will be up shortly. However, we do have the entire summary of the chapter, and it seems like things are finally going to be settled between Katakuri, and Luffy very soon. How long have these two been fighting? It has been over 20 chapters now, I guess.
We still don’t have a winner here, but it looks like that is going to change very soon. Monkey D. Luffy has done exceptional so far in his fight against Katakuri. But, it looks like this is where his luck is finally running out. Last week, we saw Luffy awakening future sight Haki, and he was able to foresee some of Katakuri’s attacks. However, despite all that, he was very tired and hence was getting beaten.
Not a lot has changed about that in this chapter, and but Katakuri does intend to wrap things up very quickly now. Luffy has dodged enough of his attacks now. Even he realizes that if he allows this fight to prolong anymore, Luffy will basically gain a hang of his technique and then it will be very hard for Luffy to be defeated. He is the man who is going to become the King of the Pirates after all.
So in order to end things, Katakuri tries to get him with his Trident once again. Luffy has made sure to dodge Mogura every time before this, but look like Franpe is responsible for him taking a lethal wound this time. Luffy is hit with the Trident on his stomach, and Katakuri is able to punch a big hole in his stomach.
This injury is similar to the one that Whitebeard received in the manga when fighting against Akainu. The Admiral was able to blow a part of Whitebeard’s face off. Similarly, here Luffy has lost a chunk of his body now. I don’t know how Luffy is going to defeat Katakuri from here. He is already at his limits. He now has a hole in his chest, and this is the most lethal injury that he’s probably ever taken ever since the one that Akainu gave him.
To me, it looks like Luffy is done for. But I may be wrong here. He might get another Rayleigh flashback, and then another power up. To me, it looks impossible for him to win from here with an injury of such severity. Luffy also passes out after getting hit by Mogura in this chapter. I doubt he’ll be unconscious in the next chapter, but whatever chance that he and of winning this just got reduced even further.
