Hello everyone, this article contains spoiler for the latest manga chapters of One Piece. You can leave if you didnt want to be spoiled. Anyway, lets continue.
The last chapter of 895 shows us epic clash between katakuri Diced Mochi and Luffy Snakeman King Cobra. This latest chapter tell us the winner of that epic clash. Both are standing after that clash but only Luffy remains. Luffy put a hat in Katakuri Face as symbol of respect and then Pekoms came out of nowhere with Brulee and wanting to save Luffy.
Even after the epic fight, some fans still cant accept how Luffy won the fight in the basis of Katakuri is much more stronger than Luffy. We came across two point that decide the end of the fight
1. Katakuri Stabbed Himself
Katakuri stabbed himself will be a major point in this fight. Before this, he still hasnt been damaged much by Luffy attacks. Luffy cant even hit Katakuri without using Gear Fourth. However, after Katakuri Stabbed himself, it seems like Luffy landed a solid hit to Katakuri. One other thing is that, Katakuri seems not being able to use His Observation Haki after he stabbed himself. This proved that Advanced Observation Haki need extreme focus and his injuries cost him to lost that focus.
2. Perfect SNAKEMAN timing
Some fans wondered why Luffy didnt use SNAKEMAN earlier in the fight. The reason is simple, if he uses SNAKEMAN earlier, he will lose badly against full health Katakuri. Even with that injuries, Katakuri able to analyze Luffy SNAKEMAN attacks after two or three attacks landed. Just imagine if he is still in good shape and able to use observation Haki. He will dodge all SNAKEMAN attack easily. Luffy may be dumb but he is genius and the same goes with Katakuri. WIth Katakuri Injured and Observation Haki is Gone, this is the best time to go SNAKEMAN.
One Piece power scaling is not linear. This is not Dragon Ball. It’s perfectly acceptable for either character to come out as the victor or for it to end in a tie depending on the direction Oda wants to take things.
people complain that “Luffy doesn’t deserve this win 1v1"" because by their arbitrary standards and misunderstandings of how combat works in One Piece, he “shouldn’t be strong enough to beat this guy because he couldn’t even win against Katakuri”. This same logic will loop and we’ll be caught in a dilemma of people both wanting Luffy to finally win another fight and yet simultaneously believing that it’s “illogical” (as if that even matters) for him to win in the first place.
Luffy is strong and has consistently defied logic throughout the series by defeating opponents people insisted were too far beyond his reach. Conflicts in One Piece aren’t about deciding the tougher brawler; they’re about deciding who has the greater ambition and willpower.
